Two people were arrested at a demonstration sponsored by the same group that staged an open-carry protest at the Alamo.  About a dozen people turned out for the protest in front of the state capitol.

Both men were said to be carrying antique pistols, said to be black-powder revolver made before 1899.  The men were charged with criminal trespass, and refused to identify themselves to authorities.

The rally was sponsored by Open Carry Texas; their leaders tell the Associated Press their members did not provoke DPS officers and were within their legal rights to carry the guns.

Open Carry Texas also organized last week's "Come and Take It San Antonio!" rally at the Alamo; intended to draw attention to a right Texans already have - to carry long arms publicly as long as they don't do it in a menacing manner.
