New Bern, North Carolina residents are trapped as the heavy downpour of rain has caused devastating flooding conditions. Some reports are of residents trapped on rooftops due to the high waters in their homes. The city of New Bern sent out a tweet stating that help was on the way. The entire county was placed under mandatory evacuation, some residents who failed to evacuate are now awaiting rescue by first respondents. See the tweet below!
