The plug being pulled on TV?

HOUSTON - Younger viewers are fleeing TV in droves. The number of people ages 18 to 34 using TV has plunged 15% and is down 36% from 2014.

"Is it any wonder this hasn't happened sooner?"

That's the question Rob Weiner, a pop culture professor at Texas Tech, posed as he says viewers are fleeing to streaming platforms instead,  but all the choices are a good thing.

"We are in a Golden Age of television just because of the wide variety of quality programming that is available."

Weiner predicts more channels and venues will start their own production companies thus increasing the competition.
