Cougars’ Brooks Looks to Draft

Houston Cougars guard Armoni Brooks is putting his name in the NBA draft pool.

Experts do no project him as a draft pick, but Brooks says he is working out and meeting with NBA representatives to learn how he can improve his game.

The 6’3” junior from Round Rock averaged 13.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the Coogs, helping them to reach the NCAA’s “Sweet Sixteen” for the first time since 1984. He also led the team in three-point accuracy at 39%.

Brooks noted he was not going to hire an agent, so he could return to UH for his senior year if he opts out of the draft by the June 10th deadline.
