Next week is Independence Day, and if you are planning a road trip you are far from being alone.
More than 49 million Americans will be joining you, according to AAA. Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas tells KTRH the number of Texas travelers will be at an all-time high, too.
“Three and a half million Texans; that is the highest number on record since AAA began tracking in 2000 and a four and a half percent increase over last year,” Armbruster said.
He adds that 90 percent of those Texas road trippers will be going by car, and Armbruster says next Wednesday, the third, will be the worst day for you to be on the road.
