Imelda Continues to Move East, Flooding Still Possible for Houston Area

Areas north of Houston received anywhere from 2-4 inches of rain so far, while areas south of the city have gotten between 5-8 inches.

East of Houston is projected to get 8 to 12 inches by Friday.

Areas along the coastline experiencing flooding since this morning, Galveston county Judge Mark Henry says, "We are currently under a flash flood warning but hope for improvement tomorrow."

A flood warning was issued for Clear Creek in League City, at Bay Area Boulevard, and Friendswood at FM 528 until further notice.

All of those creeks are above or near flood stage reporting significant run off with minor flooding ongoing or anticipated.
