A Texan Gives His Life to Help Australia

Paul Clyde Hudson grew up in San Antonio and did the city proud. A 1995 graduate of Alamo Heights High School, he had recently retired from the United States Marine Corp as Lt. Colonel. He held 2 masters degrees - one in IT and the other an MBA. Upon retirement, he became a firefighter. He was a part of the American Fire Fighters who traveled to Australia to help extinguish the brush fires.

Sadly, Hudson was one of three American firefighters who were killed in a plane crash just after dropping fire retardant along the ridge.
