Seeing Dust Bunnies While You're Home?

Being home more may make you aware of just how clean your house really is- or isn't. You may be noticing the quality of your past housekeeping habits. A survey of 4 thousand Americans concluded that we're mostly a tidy bunch, cleaning about 8 hours a month. Tricia Harte with ImproveNet found one surprise: "The chore that should be done on a weekly basis - changing your bed sheets - only 43% said they do it once a week. The rest say they do it once a week and some said monthly!!"

On the other hand, "The study revealed that Americans are keeping pretty tidy. People are spending an average of 8 hours a month cleaning," says Harte. "When we looked a basic habits, how often people are changing their sheets, the dishes, cleaning out their fridge -- the surprising thing is that there doesn't appear to be a unique cleaning culture to any particular geographic region." The survey found Las Vegas to be the best cleaned city in America.
