Abbott Wants Texas To Be National Semiconductor Technology Center Home

This has been the year to talk about semiconductors and the global shortage.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is putting together a task force in hopes of bringing the National Semiconductor Technology Center to the state.

Abbott says the Lone Star State is the perfect place for the NSTC along with the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program because of its investment in semiconductors.

He cited the over 29-thousand Texans who work in the semiconductor and machinery manufacturing fields.

Congress authorized the creation of the NSTC and NAPMP earlier this year.
