Universal Technical Institute-Houston and MIAT College of Technology-Houston to Host

 National TechTrade Expo on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023

 

Who:                 Universal Technical Institute-Houston (UTI-Houston) and MIAT College of Technology-Houston (MIAT) invite prospective students, alumni, employers, businesses, community leaders, and media to the National TechTrade Expo. This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about UTI-Houston and MIAT-Houston training programs, which include automotive, diesel, collision repair, welding, aviation, energy technology, wind power technician training, HVCAR technician training, non-destructive technician training, and robotics and automation technology. UTI-Houston Campus President Darrin Brust and MIAT Campus Director Titus Hubbard will host these events.

 What:                 Universal Technical Institute National TechTrade Expo

 UTI is hosting this nationwide in-person event on Saturday, Oct. 21, at its 16 campuses. The National TechTrade Expo, open to the public, allows attendees to learn more about UTI’s programs, the demand for skilled trade workers, and meet with campus leaders. Attendees will get an up-close look at exciting and rewarding career opportunities in several skilled trade industries. UTI and MIAT guests will experience the following:

·Visits to hands-on training labs

·Campus tours to meet instructors and staff committed to student success

·Participate in live demos, including but not limited to:

o  Automotive dynamometer (a device that measures the force, torque, or power in a vehicle)

o  Diesel engines

o  Virtual welders

o  Aircraft engines

o  Magnetic particle and ultrasonics used in non-destructive testing

·      Learn why thousands of leading companies and employer partners have ongoing relationships with UTI.

·Learn how UTI and MIAT help make training affordable with scholarships and grants available to those who qualify.
