An Oregon woman was found safe two days after she was kidnapped off of a doorstep in Hillsboro around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday (April 21) night. Video footage recorded by a Blink doorbell camera captured the woman running up to the house, screaming for help as a man chases after her. He grabs her from behind and carries her away as she screams for help.
The Hillsboro Police Department said that the man forced her into a white pickup truck and drove away. The department shared screenshots from the video and asked the public for help locating the suspect.
On Tuesday, the department announced that a suspect had been arrested and the unidentified woman was safe. Officials said that the kidnapping was not a random attack, noting that the victim and suspect knew each other.
The suspect, who was not identified, was charged with kidnapping.
"Thank you to all the community members who contacted us to provide tips and leads in this investigation," the department said in a press release posted on X.
