Nearly 60 customers were in the dark as of 7:15am., with outages concentrated in areas affected by high winds, heavy rain and flooding.

Entergy said more than 1,500 workers and other resources were in the field assessing damage and making repairs. Crews were working to restore service as quickly as conditions allowed.

Entergy Texas Vice President of Reliability Frank Shannon said crews were doing everything they could to safely restore power.

He said high winds, flooding and other storm conditions were making some repairs more difficult and slowing access to affected areas.
