Houston's Japan Festival

Rain or shine, the annual Japan Festival Houston is underway in Hermann Park on Saturday and Sunday.Full days of experiencing authentic Japanese food, culture, music, dance…..martial arts demonstrations, shopping too.

And there’s the Cosplay competition…..the entrants compete to win a trip to the national Cosplay contest. So what is Cosplay? It’s costuming and performance art as contestants portray fictional characters from anime, manga, tv shows, video games, books.Call it a Japanese Halloween. Quite a sight as you stroll the Japanese-style village booths, sipping sake, with your favorite tempura or sushi.

In its 26th year, Japan Festival Houston is one of the best attended and fun packed festivals for our town. A+ Authentic.I link you to all the info at ktrh.com
