Neo-Nazis, commies and a domestic terrorist went to Virginia

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week by now you’re very likely already aware that last weekend alt-right morons clashed with Antifa morons in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was a full on moron fest.  A bunch of Nazi wannabes marched with citronella candles, counter protesters tried to quarrel with them, the media egged everyone on and one unfortunate individual actually died from what many are calling an act of terrorism.

In the wake of all the violence many on the left have blamed the incident on President Donald Trump, suggesting his words and language somehow contributed to the tension. Democrats, progressives and various media pundits have all repeatedly suggested President Trump didn't do enough to criticize Neo-Nazis and the alt-right, thus resulting in the violence that killed one and injured several others this past weekend.  The Mayor of Charlottesville, Rep Maxine Waters, Michael Moore, Keith Olberman, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Rob Reiner, JK Rowling and Rosie O’Donnell all shared similar views that expressed blame towards Trump for the riots in Virginia.

Strangely, none of the people blaming Trump for Charlottesville blamed former-President Obama for the Dallas mass shooting incident that killed five police officers and injured several others last summer.  Oh, y'all don't remember that? That's odd because it happened just one year ago - in July of 2016 to be exact.

For those who don't recall news stories that occurred prior to 15-minutes ago, here’s a quick recap.  On July 7, 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson opened fire on a group of police officers in Dallas, Texas as they were defending and protecting a group of people who were protesting against cops.  Five officers died and nine others were injured. Two civilians were also wounded.  The shooting happened as BlackLivesMatter activists demonstrated against the police-shooting incidents that involved Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Both of those shootings had occurred in the preceding days.

During the height of the BlackLivesMatter controversy Obama did little to criticize the leftist extremists who were rioting, damaging property and assaulting innocent people all over the country last year. And people who claimed to support Obama were frequently arrested at these events for violence and vandalism. So was the shooting incident in Dallas Obama's fault? What about all the other violence perpetuated by so-called BlackLivesMatter supporters?  Does Obama need to take the blame for those incidents too?  If you answered no to those questions then don't tell me it's primarily Trump's fault that some right wing nut-job hopped in a car and tried to pull an ISIS-style terror attack on a crowd of demonstrators in Virginia. He wasn’t driving the car and he certainly didn’t encourage the attack.

But since we're on the subject of extremist nut-jobs, let’s make one thing clear: the alt-right [so-called right-wing extremists], much like Antifa [left-wing extremists], truly are an evil political movement composed of people who shouldn't be admired or mimicked.  They aren’t Republicans, conservatives, patriots or even Americans.  They’re just Nazi-wannabes.  And there’s nothing right-wing about the alt-right. They’re collectivists who subscribe to identity politics and hate America (after the riot in Virginia alt-right leader Richard Spencer used his social media platform to publicly slander police officers).  They literally idolize socialists.  They might as well be part of Antifa – they practice the same tactics and share similar values.

The alt-right have tried their hardest to convince people they are a large powerful group and the liberal mainstream media has assisted in perpetuating this illusion. But in reality, the alt-right is not a large political movement. Most Donald Trump supporters have no association with these idiots despite the best efforts of the mainstream media to make the opposite seem true.  If the mainstream media would stop giving these idiots the time of day they'd eventually get bored and go home. They want people to hate them.  They’re intentionally seeking out negative attention.  They strongly desire outrage and violence [and the media is giving it to them].  Since ignoring these dirt bags is bad for ratings the media does their best to make sure everyone knows where and when the alt-right will be demonstrating so leftist extremists [Antifa, BlackLivesMatter, etc] can join them, leading to more explosive results. And, unfortunately, very often innocent people are left in the wake of these clashes of ideology as they make college campuses and city streets into their own personal war-zones.  These cowards, inspired by Nazis and Communists, are feuding the way similar groups did in the mid-20th century.  This is nothing new.

Again, the best defense is to stop giving them so much free publicity. Most people wouldn't even know the meaning of the term "alt right" if not for MSNBC, NPR, CNN, Huffington Post, Vice News and a countless other number of left wing media outlets who made a couple hundred racist white dudes seem as though they actually represent millions of people. But guess what? They don't. Chances are you don't know anyone in the alt-right movement [or Antifa] and neither does anyone you know. Let’s keep it that way.
