Gender-neutral Mothers Day Cards Are Now A Thing

I guess we should have seen this coming. Don't even pretend to be surprised when you hear this news.  Today you woke up in a world where people are offended by the gender-exclusivity of Mothers Day and Fathers Day cards, so the greeting card industry has responded to their outrage.

A grocery store chain in the UK called Waitrose is selling gender-neutral Mother’s Day cards.  This happened because some retailers are trying to reduce their use of the very offensive "M" word.  This is all being done in an effort to make Mothers Day more “transgender inclusive”.

Of course.  Transgender Motehrs Day.  That makes perfect sense. Just because she has a penis doesn't mean she's not a woman.  Right?

The retail outlet is selling a “Happy You Day” card in its Mother’s Day section.  The word "Mother" is not printed on the cards.

Seriously?  Piss off!  Piss off, right now.

Waitrose says the move will “broaden out who the cards can go to, whether it’s grandmas or transgender moms”.

Grandmas?  But grandmas are still moms.  What a bunch of jackasses.

Waitrose was joined by other retailers who offer a “Two moms are better than one” card for same-sex  couples and a “Dad, thanks for being the most amazing mom” card.

This form of stupidity is catching on.
