London Mayor supports some free speech, just not yours

This news is jaw droppingly nuts.  European Leftists can't see the hypocrisy of their own behavior.  It's baffling.

Earlier this year the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, came to Austin, Texas for the SXSW art and music conference (even though he isn't a musician or artist) and gave a lecture to an eager crowd of young progressives about how we need to end the principle of free speech.  After all, free speech protects hate speech, which is very bad!  And words hurt, according to the Leftist shill from London.

The crowd cheered!  Hurray!  "End free speech now", the audience declared!  For those wondering how an audience in Texas could embrace the idea of ending free speech, this is Austin we're talking about.  It's basically filled with Californians - especially during SXSW.

But now Sadiq Khan is singing a different tune.  Yesterday he took to Twitter to talk about how free speech will stop President Trump, which is a good thing... IRONY ALERT!

Trump is planning a trip to London.  In response, the Sharia-loving Mayor said...

If he comes to London, President Trump will experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear. He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear.

Is Sadiq out of his mind?  There's no free speech in London.  Not even close.

The Brits don’t have free speech in their Constitution, mainly because they don’t even have a written Constitution. Ergo, free speech isn’t guaranteed despite the centuries of common understanding for it's importance.

Just this week a YouTube comedian named Count Dankula was fined $1,101.47 for teaching his pet dog (a pug) to wave hello every time he said, "Seig Heil".  Since he's a comedian and not a Nazi, it should be pretty obvious that a pet pug saluting Hitler isn't actually evidence of any kind of fascism.  It's just a joke.  Even a lot of prominent Jewish media personalities admitted it was funny and people need to lighten up. The UK government claimed he was engaging in hate speech, but he's a comedian.  His name is frickin'  Count Dankula for crying out loud!  How many Nazi pot-heads have you met in your lifetime?  Probably not many.

To further illustrate my point, a teenage girl from Liverpool was recently charged with using hate speech after she posted lyrics to a Snoop Dogg song on her Instagram account.  She was actually posting the lyrics as a tribute to a 13-yr-old girl who died in a car accident.  The lyrics she used in her social media post were the same words that rappers like Jay Z and Kanye West use when they perform on stage at the Glastonbury Festival - a massive music concert that takes place in England each year in front of an audience of literally thousands of people.  Are we to believe this language, when put in the same exact context as it was used by the rapper who wrote it, somehow takes on a different meaning when a teenage girl repeats the lyrics on Instagram?  Of course not.  This is libtarded contradictory nonsense.

Folks, we don't get to pick and choose the reality we live in.  It's the same reality everyday.   Sadiq Khan is against free speech when it's right wing, but fully supports free speech when its reaffirms his own opinions.  That's not actually free speech - it's selective speech. What is the point of "free speech" if we aren't going to defend controversial language? The answer should be obvious.
