Parkland School Shooter Cell Phone Footage Released

Authorities have released three chilling videos taken by Parkland school shooter in which Nikolas Cruz appears to outline his plan to enter Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and kill as many people as he can.

“My name is Nik, and I’m going to be the next school shooter of 2018,” he said. “My goal is at least 20 people.”

Cruz killed 17 people and wounded 17 more during his rampage at the school. He currently faces the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder. Prosecutors must prove the murders were pre-meditated if they are seeking the death penalty.

“When you see me on the news you’ll know who I am,” he says, chuckling. “You’re all going to die. Pew pew pew. I can’t wait.”

Authorities say at least two of the videos that were released were taken the day of the Feb 14th shooting.

“Today is the day. The day that it all begins. The day of my massacre shall begin,” Cruz says. “All the kids in school will run in fear and hide. From the wrath of my power they will know who I am.”

Cruz planned to take an Uber to the campus, going to the third floor of the school, and set up a sniper position to shoot at students in the courtyard below.

The videos don't offer much evidence in determining Cruz's motive, with the 19-year-old only offering vague hints.

“I’ve had enough being told what to do and when to do. ... Telling me I’m an idiot and a dumbass,” he says. “In real life, you’re all the dumbass. You’re all stupid and brainwashed.”

At one point, Cruz singles out a woman named "Angie," saying that he will always love her.

"I hope to see you in the afterlife," Cruz says.

No one named Angie was among the murdered or wounded victims from the school shooting.
