Chaos: Armed Caravan Members Open Fire on Police

Authorities in Mexico have arrested two Honduran nationals accused of shooting federal police officers who were escorting a migrant caravan across the country, according to journalist Brandon Darby.

The attacks came shortly after a warning from the Mexican government about Molotov cocktail attacks near the second caravan currently traveling through the US' southern neighbor.

According to the report, the attackers' firearm malfunctioned, which allowed police to arrest the suspects without sustaining any injuries.Authorities seized a .380 caliber Glock with a loaded magazine.

Journalists have previously documented that a member of the caravan is a convicted attempted murderer with multiple previous deportations, while another admitted there were criminals traveling with the group.
