A former Fort Bend substitute teacher has reportedly been captured in Syria for fighting with ISIS.
Warren Christopher Clark, a 34 year old, was captured with five other ISIS supporters by Kurdish rebels.
Clark used the name Abu Mohammad al-Ameriki. He was caught with another American man, an Irish man and two Pakistanis.
Clark wrote a letter to offer his services to the Islamic State but it was intercepted by counter-terrorism researchers at George Washington University.
Clark graduated from the University of Houston over a decade ago and was a substitute English as a Second Language teacher in Fort Bend for more than a year before he moved overseas to Saudi Arabia, Turkey and, eventually, Syria.
Clark appeared to be interested in helping to support and join the Caliphate (ISIS's community based on Sharia law).
