During a Martin Luther King Day event in New York City, our favorite Socialist cutie, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez uttered what could be her finest example of idiocy in her short, but rich, history of idiocy. She said that we had only 12 years to save the planet from climate change, or we were all going to die.
Yep. We are all going to die if we don’t get rid of fossil fuels and steal from all the billionaires.
“And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. You’re biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying let’s take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?
How are we saying take it easy, the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of. That at some point this chronic reality do reach a breaking point and I think for our generation it reached that, I wished I didn’t have to be doing every post, but sometimes I just feel like people aren’t being held accountable. Until, we start pitching in and holding people accountable, I’m just gonna let them have it.”
There’s a lot of genius to unpack here.
Climate change is like Gen Z’s WW II. Ummm OK, so I guess your parents (and has anyone ever SEEN her parents? Just curious.) are like the forces of evil because they gave you a bunch of stuff because they were able to. This stuff is probably derived from that poison fossil fuels.
The US is in such a terrible condition that people are sleeping in cars so they can work a second job without healthcare.
Problems will only be solved if we hold accountable and punish somebody. Frankly, let’s dismiss this right now. This kind of thinking is called a Bill of Attainder. That means punishing you for crimes that you committed before they were crimes; and punishing everyone in your family along with you. By punishing, I mean remove your life, your property, and your liberty. The kings in England were famous for this sort of thing to remove rivals to the throne.
Our Founders wrote this specifically into the Constitution that the government COULDN’T DO IT! It’s in Article I, Section 3. But folks like AOC (and SheJack, and others) think that this kind of thing is necessary to save us from ourselves.
Wow. Just wow. This is what our modern education system is producing, folks. I think it might be time for some of you to reconsider home schooling.
Our old guard Communist, Bill Ayers, once said that education is education as “the motor-force of revolution.” He didn’t mean it in a good way. He meant it as the way to destroy the country.
AOC’s 12 year deadline is the direct result of Al Gore’s magnus opus “An Inconvenient Truth” where he droned on and on about global warming—remember the polar bears drowning?
Folks, this crap has been part of the curriculum in most schools since about 2000. Given the fact that AOC is 29 years old, she’s been getting fed this dystopian nonsense since she was at least 11.
Even Al Gore has tried the “Less than 10 years to Save The Planet” gambit. Remember how, at a screening of “An Inconvenient Truth—The Movie” at the Sundance film festival (dude won an Oscar for this gem of filmmaking), Al intoned “the planet has a fever…” and set a date 10 years into the future?
Hmmm. 2016 came and went, and we are still here. Global temperatures are coming down, incomes are rising, none of what he said is true. But here we are. AOC is now saying we will all die in 12 years.
Mission accomplished, Al and Bill. We have leaders in place who suckled in this envy-based philosophy from the earliest days. We have our useful idiots.
And now, they’re in elected office.
We’re doomed, alright. Only it won’t be climate change that takes us down.
