This week the Sharia-friendly freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) spawned controversy after going on an antisemitic Twitter rant that suggested people like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) only support Israel because he's being bribed by wealthy Jews."All about the Benjamins, Baby," she said on Twitter - invoking a 1990s Puff Daddy rap lyric as a weapon against the Jewish community and supporters of Israel.
Naturally, people were pretty upset. This was a textbook example of someone in a position of authority playing into a timeless anti-Jewish stereotype in an effort to shame the masses as a means to control us, and just one more in a long series of anti-Israel statements made by Omar.
People were not happy. The general public reacted with disgust to her comments and even members of her own party publicly disavowed her message.But one person was more than eager to play the role of defender to Omar's words - notable white supremacist and former KKK leader David Duke.
It's true - chances are you probably never thought you'd live to see the day when the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan would publicly defend a female Somalian-American politician who worships Islam but welcome to life in 2019.
At 8:07am on Monday morning Duke hopped on Twitter and said, "So, let us get this straight. It is "Anti-Semitism" to point out that the most powerful political moneybags in American politics are Zionists who put another nation's interest (israel's) over that of America ??????"
Duke was responding to a criticism of Omar's words by former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, one of countless similar reactions made towards the lawmaker by both Republicans and Democrats alike.
Later that day Duke continued his defense of Omar's words, this time against President Trump, who called on Rep Omar to resign for her attack on Israel and the Jewish community.
"Trump! What R U doing? An elected person resign because they expose Israeli Bribing of Congress? -in Senate: Schumer, Feinstein, Blumenthal -In House Schiff and Nadler. Fake media NYTimes, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC ALL Zionists! They HATE YOU! They want you crucified ! Don't be Stupid!"
But he wasn't done yet.
Israel has hypnotized the world, may God awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.
People like Duke and Omar may seem like polar opposites, but they do have one thing in common - an open and honest disdain for Israel and the Jewish community. Great job, Democrats, you've aligned yourselves with proud racists.
