When news first broke about the fake attack involving Empire actor Jussie Smollett, the media bent over backwards to portray the man as a martyr.
Of course that news turned out to be a hoax, but here's another story involving political violence that's very real.
A conservative student at UC Berkeley was punched, pushed and assaulted earlier today by a local left-leaning Antifa-wanna-be and it was all captured on video.
While it's not completely clear how the incident first began, it appears as though the man is being physically attacked for the crime of being a white Republican in Berkeley.
The event was posted online by Brad Devlin, the former UC Berkeley College Republicans president.
Devlin said, "Another conservative student was assaulted on
@UCBerkeley's campus. I just spoke to the survivor of the attack who is a dear friend of mine. He is in good spirits and plans on continuing to fight for conservative values on campus once his black eye is gone! What a bad a**!"
the altercation the attacker threatened to shoot the victim, known as "Hayden".
This isn't the first time a conservative student was violent assaulted at Berkeley and it probably won't be the last.
