Oh, this just perfect.
Bernie Sanders’ newest deputy national press secretary is a lot of things: she's hip, young and progressive, but one thing she's not is a legal immigrant.
Belén Sisa, a millennial Arizona left-wing activist, won’t be able to cast a vote for her boss in the 2020 presidential election, says Fox News.
After she got her job working for Bernie, Sisa wrote on Facebook, "This is really emotional for me. I can’t help but think of 18-year-old Belén, who felt hopeless and powerless to the anti-immigrant attacks and policies that were holding her back from her dreams."
The activist, who proudly admits she's an illegal immigrant, claims she was brought into the country illegally by her parents from Argentina when she was 6 years old.
She says her stay in the U.S. is protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Thanks, Obama.
In January she was interviewed by CNN. She described herself as undocumented “Dreamer”.
Sisa isn't just an illegal immigrant, she's also an illegal activist. She's reportedly been arrested many times for her activism, including the time she participated in a "sit-in" at the office of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
Anyway, whether you think she should be here or not, one thing is clear: she won't be voting for Bernie. Not legally, anyway.
