Fact: Democrats Are Delusional - Meet Sherrod Brown

The Democrats are, as a whole, delusional. Oh, there might be a voice of reason from time to time (see Nancy Pelosi's comments about Trump), but in general, they are suffering from the continued effects of wishful thinking.

Case in point--Progressive darling Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown.

Sherrod Brown just announced that he won't be running for president in 2020. It's probably a smart move. His intersectionality score was only a 2.

However, Brown now says that he's the Democrat with the best chance of beating Trump.

Speaking on MSNBC, Brown said “I think that there is a recognition that if I were the nominee, I would have perhaps the best chance to beat Trump,”

“But I think that if this dignity of work theme — I want people — I want our candidates to think about the general election and how you’re going to win the general election and if they start talking to workers, of course, we played a Progressive base and against NAFTA and the bankruptcy bill and a whole bunch of issues as a Progressive but we have to talk to workers.”

What's so odd, is that Brown was beloved of the progressive wing of the Democrat Party. He's married to an avowed Marxist journalist, and has ticked all the policy positions that matter to the left wing.

He and his wife, have spent months campaigning across the country on the theme of the dignity of work (loaded with Marxist codewords), but they got nothing for their efforts. Brown wants to make Dignity of Work central to the Democrat 2020 platform. They can probably replace God with work, that might go over well.

Except, the Dems aren't paying attention to him. You've got Elizabeth Warren giving super blue Silicon Valley (why are all the rich people Democrats?) a reason to vote red in 2020 with her trust busting talk. You've got Socialist Bernie Sanders out there dribbling about Medicare for All and free college. You've even got Julian Castro mumbling something about something.

But nobody seems to actually be talking to the people who do the work in the country. They seem to be talking AT them.

So, poor Sherrod Brown--he's progressive, but he's warning the lefty lefties to shut up with the shouting and actually go talk to workers.

My guess is the Dems will put God back in the platform before they talk to real people. At least they did decide to go to Wisconsin this time...
