Minnesota Dems Want Rep Omar Out of Office. Can You Blame Them?

A group of Minnesota Democrats are sick and tired of hateful remarks spewed from the antisemitic mouth of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D), The Hill reports.

Now some state party members are making efforts to recruit a candidate to run against her in next year’s primary election.

Omar comes from one of America’s most progressive districts. Replacing her means finding someone who's just as bat-s*** crazy as she is, but without all the anti-Jew stuff.

Several party leaders claim they're having discussions to find a candidate who can take on Omar and she's only been in office for about two months.

State Senator Ron Latz (D), who represents part of Omar’s district, said, "There’s definitely some buzz going around about it, but it’s more a buzz of is anyone talking about finding someone to run against her than it is anyone saying they’re going to run against her or contemplate it. There’s definitely talk about people wanting someone to run against her."

You can't blame him. Being represented by a Jew-hater in Congress isn't a reassuring feeling and it's definitely not a good look.

Steve Hunegs, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, said, "Our community is exasperated by Rep. Omar’s unfulfilled promises to listen and learn from Jewish constituents while seemingly simultaneously finding another opportunity to make an anti-Semitic remark and insult our community."

Dude, your community is represented by a foreign-born Muslim who hates Jews and thinks America is a highly flawed nation.

Omar met with Hunegs last month and the results weren't positive.

"Unfortunately, having the opportunity to speak with her about that point didn’t dissuade her making that statement," Hunegs said.

Minnesota has an antisemitism problem.  This differs a bit from the problem they had early last year with Al Franken, which was more of a woman-groping problem. It must suck to be a Minnesota Democrat.
