I can't believe this is a real video.
Back in 2013 when Democrat Rep Ilhan Omar was still a staffer for the Minneapolis City Council she did an interview with a member of the local Muslim community to discuss the topic of Islamic terrorism.
During the conversation she talked about how funny it is was to see Americans get uptight about words like "Al Qaeda". She thought it was hilarious, as if reacting to violent extremism with disdain was some kind of personality flaw.
Out of context, this video might seem confusing, but over the course of the next two years Rep Omar tried to grant clemency to a group of Somali-Americans who were arrested for joining ISIS. She also tried to change public policy banning life insurance providers from refusing to give payouts to the family members of deceased terrorists.
In short, this is a video of a Muslim extremist laughing at America. The joke is on us.
