2020 Dem Candidate Event Praises Karl Marx & a Convicted Cop Killer

8 top tier Democrat primary candidates appeared at a conference in DC on Monday that paid tribute to a convicted cop killer and communism pioneer Karl Marx.

The We the People Conference featured candidates like Elizabeth Warren, Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Julián Castro, Amy Klobuchar, and Jay Inslee.

But what really had people's heads turning was an appearance by NAACP vice president Jamal Watkins, who lead the crowd in a chant that praised a convicted cop killer.

Watkins told the crowd, "I'm gonna actually have you participate with me in repeating some words from a leader by the name of Assata Shakur. So if you could stand up — if you can't stand, it's OK — but I want you to repeat after me."

Assata Shakur was a member of the Black Liberation Army, who was convicted of the first-degree murder of State Trooper Werner Foerster during a shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike in 1973 before fleeing to Cuba. She's about as anti-American as they come.

The chant that repeated Shakur's words were actually borrowed from the final sentences of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto: "The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Proletarians of All Countries, Unite!"

In case you're not catching what we're putting down here, Beto, Warren, Booker, Bernie, Gillibrand, Klobuchar and Castro all participated in an event that praised Karl Marx and a convicted cop killer.
