COLLUSION: Obama White House Counsel Charged with Lying to Prosecutors

Speaking of colluding with Russian-aligned foriegn political leaders, Gregorgy Craig was a White House counsel under President Barack Obama, but now he's in hot water after purportedly hiding his foriegn lobbying work with the Ukraine government.

This allegation stems from the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Yes, it's true, an Obama Democrat may face up to 10 years in prison for colluding with a foreign government.

Craig is being charged with lying and hiding information about his foreign lobbying work with Ukraine, a very serious allegation.

In a statement to news outlets, Craig's attorneys said client has been refereed to federal authorities in the Southern District of New York.

Craig was charged with lying during an Oct. 19, 2017, interview with the special counsel Robert Mueller’s office. The suppose lie pertained to the nature of work he did for the Ukrainian government in 2012 and 2013. At that time he was a senior partner at the law firm Skadden Arps. He left the firm in April of 2018, at the height of the Mueller investigation.

The law firm was first hired back in 2012 when by the Ukrainian government when President Viktor Yanukovich, a longtime Kremlin ally, was still in office.

They hired him to prepare a formal report that justified the Ukrainian President's decision to prosecute a political rival former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko. This prosecution sparked international outrage so President Yanukovich hired White House counsel Gregory Craig to draft a report that justified their decision to human rights groups.

In 2012 and 2013 the Justice Department asked Craig's firm to verify if they were involved in foriegn lobbying and, according to the indictment, Craig emailed a partner around that time and said, "I don't want to register as a foreign agent."

The Justice Department claims a partner at the firm, believed to be Craig, made "false and misleading statements" about the firm's work with the President of Ukraine.

So an Obama counsel member lied to cover up the fact that he was helping a Kremlin-aligned foriegn leader?

Wow, that sounds an awful lot like... COLLUSION.
