In a rare sign the Left isn't as immoral as we previously thought, House Democrats are rejecting and refunding campaign donations from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). The move stems from Omar's antisemitism scandal and her recent comments about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The campaign committee of Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA) did not include a $2,000 contribution from Omar on their quarterly fundraising report.
A journalist from Free Beacon reached out to McBath's people to find out why and that's when they admitted they left the money off the report because they rejected the donation.
McBath’s rejection of the donation wasn't a fluke. The Sixth District of Georgia has a notable Jewish population. They don't appreciate Omar's vicious attack against Jewish people and Israel.
McBath isn't alone - Dan McCready (D-NC) also rejected a $2,000 donation from Omar's office. A spokesperson for McCready told reporters they felt it was inappropriate to accept a donation from an antisemitic lawmaker.
Meanwhile Jahana Hayes (D-CT) told the Free Beach they "did not disclose the contribution" but her campaign was "absolutely not" trying hide the donation..... Suuuuuure.
Can you blame all these people for trying to distance themselves from Omar? Hatred of Jews and the trivialization of 9/11 is not a good look for their political campaigns.
