DNA Tests At Border Reveal 30% of "Family Members" Aren't Related

The frequent occurrence of migrant adults traveling over the border with young children has prompted authorities to start conducting DNA tests to determine if the guardians of these minors are actually their legal guardians.

As you might suspect, a large number of illegal immigrants at our Southern border are traveling with children who aren't actually their real children.

About 30% of DNA tests of immigrant adults who were arrived at the southern border with children revealed the adults were not related to the children, according to a new report by the Washington Examiner.

One official said, ""There’s been some concern about, 'Are they stepfathers or adopted fathers?' Those were not the case. In these cases, they are misrepresented as family members."

The tests were conducted as part of a new pilot program in McAllen and El Paso, Texas. Officials with Immigration Customs Enforcement are now looking into the results to determine if the testing should be conducted in other places along our border.

This marks the first time DNA testing was done at the border.

This startlingly new report from our border suggests many of these migrant children are potentially being exploited by adults.
