Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made shocking and baseless claims that border police agents are forcing migrants to drink out of toilets.
After visiting a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility in Texas earlier this week, AOC said officers were keeping women in cells with no water where they were forced them to drink from toilets.
AOC, who continues to refer to CBP facilities as "concentration camps" despite criticism by Jewish leaders, says guards laughed at migrants in front of members of congress. She has offered no video or audio recordings as evidence to support this accusation.
However Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, said AOC's remarks are not accurate
Judd told journalist Joel Pollak cameras that record the facilities will demonstrate that AOC is lying: "I’m calling on CBP to release that footage so they clearly show that she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect."
He continued, "Nobody is forced to drink out of a toilet and nobody is told to drink out of a toilet. Its completely and totally a baseless and ridiculous allegation and frankly it needs to be investigated and she needs to be exposed."
Another report by journalist Anna Giaritelli says AOC was extremely rude and confrontational toward law enforcement personnel and never actually toured the facility.
