Texas Democrat Lawmaker "Poncho" Nevarez Loves the Cocaine

"I can't believe a Texas Democrat named 'Poncho' was caught with cocaine," said nobody ever.

Rep. Poncho Nevárez (D-Eagle Pass) dropped an envelope containing four packets of cocaine in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The envelope, which had Poncho's name on it, was found by Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) employees, according to multiple news outlets.

Oh yeah, there's also a video of Poncho dropping the drugs.

The envelope’s letterhead actually said "Office the State of Texas House of Representatives Member Poncho Nevárez."

WOW! He wrote his name on his illegal drugs? What an idiot.

Poncho, a progressive lawmaker from a border community, has an interesting history of unique behavior while working in the Texas capitol.

Back in May 2017, Rep Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving) called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers on a group of suspicious anti-American protesters at the state capitol and a short time later Rinaldi claimed Poncho "threatened my life on the House floor."

Nevárez said that he put his hands on Rinaldi, "But was I going to shoot the guy? No."

At the time of the incident critics said Rinaldi was overreacting but now that we have reason to believe Poncho does cocaine while he's at work in Austin... Maybe Rinaldi had a point?

Either way - now another corrupt Democrat has been outed for who he truly is and Texas is a better place because of it.
