Al Gore: Climate Change is the New 9-11, Dunkirk

On June 4th, 1940 16,000 French soldiers and 1,000 British soldiers died during the evacuation of Dunkirk. Over 90% of the community was destroyed in that region.

On September 11th, 2001 2,977 victims and 19 hijackers were killed and more than 6,000 others were injured. The property damage cost over $100 billion and the estimated total economic damage inflicted was about $2 trillion.

Al Gore says climate change is worse than both of these things.

While speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland, Gore said, "This is Thermopylae. This is Agincourt. This is Dunkirk. This is the Battle of the Bulge. This is 9/11."

Imagine telling millions of people that a fraction of a degree higher in temperature is the equivalent of thousands of people dying in a giant explosion or a Nazi invasion.

Before you get too concerned we should remind you that Al Gore, the same guy who made a fortune off selling "carbon credits" to people who felt guilty about their fossil fuel consumption, has a history of making wrong predictions when it comes to the environment.

In the late 2000s ManBearPig frequently made inaccurate predictions about all the ice caps melting by 2014.

According to Al Gore's estimation, we should all be living in Kevin Costner's Waterworld by now.

But we're not - because Al Gore was wrong.

Remember, folks, at any given point in history there has always been someone who makes a living by telling people the world is going to end & they're always wrong. Despite what Al Gore would have you believe, fossil fuels are the life blood of humanity. Cheap plentiful energy is the solution to our problems, not the cause. Don't listen to ChickenLittle.
