If you live in #Louisiana, #Texas, #Mississippi, or surrounding states, these government instructions about COVID19 are not optional.
A lot of these measures have been met with understanding for the most part. Not that everyone is excited to see their employment put at risk, but there has been "understanding" over these moves. But there has been some push-back.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Louisiana State Police, came forward right away to announce that they would be enforcing these laws. In KTBS' report, they indicate that Sabine Parish has also come out publicly to show their support of the restrictions, and readiness to enforce them:
"Sabine Parish District Attorney Don Burkett took a proactive approach by reminding residents that those who ignore the order can be fined up to $500 or spend six months in jail."
