Yet Another Misleading Houston Chronicle Article that Attacks Police

Why can't Houston's leading print news outlet hide their anti-police bias?

Over the weekend a criminal was shot after he pointed a gun at police officers.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that pointing a gun at cops is a quick way to get yourself shot, but the Houston Chronicle couldn't resist. They just had to write a misleading news story, titled "Houston police shoot, kill 'emotional' man who fired gun into ground," that made it seem as though the police were the instigators and the suspect was somehow a victim.

The Chronicle gave a misleading version of the story:

Police shot and killed a man early Monday after finding him outside a home with a gun, authorities said.
The shooting marks the sixth death of a civilian at the hands of a Houston police officer since April 21.
A call around 1:20 a.m. that a man was armed, emotional and had been drinking led multiple officers to the 6500 block of Capridge Drive, said Troy Finner, executive assistant chief of Houston Police Department. According to police radio traffic, the woman who called police said she and the man were going through a divorce and that he had already fired the weapon.

Houston Police Union President Joe Gamaldi called out the Chronicle for their inaccurate story:

Careful Houston Chronicle your bias is showing with this trash, click bait headline. If you read just a couple paragraphs in, you will see in your own story that the suspect pointed the firearm at officers.
