Here's a quick reminder of what's on the line this election season.
Meet Penny Shaw: she's running for the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 148. You will see her name on the ballot on November 3, 2020 if you live around the north side of Houston. She's running against Republican candidate Luis LaRotta in a place where Democrat voters outnumber Republican voters.
Shaw is the official Democrat candidate after winning the primary runoff on July 14, 2020.
She's also a proud member of the Houston Communist party & in 2018 they helped her run for Harris County Commissioner's Court, according to a report.
The club is working in Penny Shaw’s election campaign. Penny is running for a seat on the Harris County Commissioners Court Precinct 4. This precinct has over a million people in it and if elected she would help decide on the distribution to working-class constituents of a budget that’s well over a billion dollars a year.

From a Joelle Fishman report to the Communist Party USA National Committee meeting on November 17th 2018: In Texas we had five candidates in the primaries who got a quarter million votes for US Senate and plans to run again. In the general election Penny Morales Shaw ran for county commissioner in a Republican area and got 45% of the vote in a great campaign with union support.
As a friendly reminder Communists believe all property should be publicly owned and each person will be paid according to their abilities and needs. Communist countries generally operate under a one-party system. If you live on the Northside of Houston & you don't agree with those principles you're likely to be very frustrated with your State Rep in 2021.
Just so we're clear: this isn't some candidate who moved here from California or New York. Shaw is a native of Houston and actively involved in local Leftist political causes.
