Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees hit a home run at Fenway on Saturday, and a Red Sox fan threw it back . . . and HIT him as he rounded second.
Stanton wasn't hurt, and had a sense of humor about it.
The fan apologized, and said he was just trying to throw the ball as far as he could . . . he wasn't actually trying to hit anyone.
It looks like he got ejected, but he told the news he WASN'T thrown out of the ballpark.
Giancarlo Stanton took one out over the monster to extend the Yankees lead, but then a fan threw the ball back and hit Stanton rounding 2nd. pic.twitter.com/8I9MuYaa7R— FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) September 29, 2018
