They thought they were having a romantic mountain hike followed by a wedding proposal and then things went south pretty fast.
A guy from Texas took his girlfriend on an eight-mile hike in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, so he could propose at the top of Jasper Peak. But it got dark on the way down, they got lost, developed altitude sickness and dehydration, and had to be saved by another hiker.
They were eventually rescued at 2:30 in the morning.
Sheriff's Deputy Dan Walter says the engagement is still on.
