NOLA Police Chief's Son Arrested over Domestic Dispute
The New Orleans Police Department is no stranger to controversy and that tradition continued this week as the the son of the new NOPD chief was arrested yesterday (Jan. 22) over a “domestic dispute," said NOPD spokesman Andy Cunningham.
Shane Ferguson, the 21-yr-old song of Superintendent Shaun Ferguson, turned himself in last night for an incident that took place over the weekend.
Cunningham said, “While this is a family matter, Chief Ferguson wants to be clear that the NOPD will conduct a proper and complete investigation just like we do in every case."
Superintendent Ferguson was just sworn in on Friday and he's already making headlines (for all the wrong reasons).
Hopefully this was just a fluke and not a sign of future occurrences involving the NOPD chief and his family.
