Watch: President Lyndon Johnson Speaks to Researcher on Helium (video)

For President's Day, here's a funny presidential moment.

In September of 1965, a group of aquanauts stayed deep underwater in Sea Lab II for 45 days.

And President Lyndon Johnson called them.

Since the researchers had to use helium to stabilize the sub's air pressure, it made Scott Carpenter's voice sound like a chipmunk.

Here's part of the call.

He's saying "Well, thank you very much. It's a great crew around here, and we're all very honored and pleased that you saw fit to call us."
