4-year-old pre-K student Sebastian gave his family quite a scare when he took off in his great-grandfather's SUV in search of none other than some Reese's candy.
Sebastian demonstrated to Fox 9 how he pulled it off: Using his great-grandfather Roy’s walker to grab the keys from wall hooks, and, when no one was watching, he slipped out of the house and into the driver’s seat where he took off.
“He watches everything people do and he’ll repeat it,” explained Roy Becker, great grandfather.
From there, Sebastian, who could barely see over the steering wheel, took off to the Speedway gas station 1.5 miles away from his home determined to satisfy his sweet tooth!
Along the way there were a few bumps in the road. Sebastian hit a couple mailboxes, dinged a tree and a portion of the vehicles bumper was even found in a neighbor's yard.
Thankfully nobody was injured, especially considering how many dangerous outcomes could have occurred as a result of a 4-year-old behind the wheel.
His family does plan to lock up the keys going forward and to keep a closer eye on the candy-craving car bandit!
