Dang, these high school kids look old.
Seven students and a Shreveport woman were arrested Thursday morning after a group fight occurred at Byrd High School, the Caddo Sheriff's Office announced Thursday afternoon.
Shania Graham, 38, a parent of a Byrd student, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and misuse of 911.
Lynterrica Williams, an 18-year-old student, was arrested and charged with battery of a school teacher.
Graham and Williams were taken to the Caddo Correctional Center for booking.
Six other juveniles were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and battery of a school teacher.
These arrests were made around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning by school resource officer Cpl. Ray Saunders and several Caddo deputies.
"This morning our on-campus school resource officer along with school staff responded swiftly to reports of a fight at C.E. Byrd High School following all policies and procedures for the district. The fight, which took place as a result of an earlier unrelated, off-campus altercation, resulted in the arrest of seven students and a parent by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office," read a comment from Caddo Schools.
