At a recent traffic stop in Fort Pierce a Florida Man told officers the wind blew a “bag of cocaine residue” into his car.
Last month officers pulled over Joseph Zak, 37, after he ran a stop sign.
While his car was still moving the officers saw Zak make "furtive movements, leaning over towards the center console as attempting to discard an item out the passenger window."
Officers also witnessed the suspect hiding a can of Budweiser beer.
After searching the car officers found a glass crack pipe and a small bag containing "a whitish residue, which tested positive for crack cocaine."
Zak denied the drugs were his, claiming, "police or the wind must have placed it there."
Zak was arrested and booked into the St. Lucie County jail.
We've heard some creative excuses in our day but blaming the wind for blowing a crack pipe and cocaine into your car is a fresh one for us.
