You think mandatory masks are bad? How about a robot dog telling you how close you can get to other people out in public?
According to The Verge, a 4-legged canine-like robot named Spot is being used in Singapore's Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to remind park visitors to keep a safe distance from one another. Municipal authorities are doing a two-week trial of the robot dog patrols. Spot is equipped with cameras used to estimate the number of visitors to the park and broadcasts prerecorded messages to remind people about proper social distancing.
