More bad news for people in the oil & gas industry.
The President won't rest until every family in the American energy industry is homeless and starving.
Remember a couple weeks ago when the President signed off on building a new pipeline between Russia and Germany but wouldn't allow Americans to finish the Keystone Pipeline?
Believe it or not, he's about to do something just as hypocritical in Alaska.
The Interior Department suspended nearly a dozen oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on Tuesday, the agency announced.
Why it matters: The move, which will require a new environmental analysis, will undo former President Trump's most significant environmental actions in his final days in office.
Worth noting: The new analysis could be time consuming and its results may spark a court battle.
What they're saying: “Today marks an important step forward fulfilling President Biden’s promise to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge," White House national climate adviser Gina McCarthy said Tuesday.
FAIRBANKS, ALASKA - SEPTEMBER 17: A landscape is seen on September 17, 2019 near Fairbanks, Alaska. Permafrost which is found to some extent beneath nearly 85 percent of Alaska has been melting due to earths rising temperatures. Reports indicate that as the permafrost melts, it releases carbon dioxide which adds to the greenhouse gas effect that continues to warm the planet. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
