Even though millions of cars have been recalled, it's not affecting new car sales.

KTRH Car Pro Jerry Reynolds says most major car sellers just finished a strong month of July.

“Recalls just aren't seeming to have any effect,” Reynolds says.  “General Motors just reported their sales for July and they are up, again, a whopping nine percent.  That's huge.”

Ford was also up, by 10 percent.  There was also at least one surprise loser.

“One surprise was Honda,” he explains, “down four percent from a year ago, which doesn't make any sense.  There's a car company which has had no recalls.”

Reynolds says the availability of low-interest loans, and rebates, which make cars more affordable, are driving sales much higher.
