A throwback to Houston's honkey tonk days is making a comeback.  Country singer Mickey Gilley is taking to Facebook to make a major announcement.

"We are putting a plan together - a business plan - to rebuild Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas."

Gilley says he's working with local officials, and he's calling on his Facebook friends to see if anyone is interested in investing.  The original club was lost in a fire in 1989 and a building belonging to the Pasadena ISD is now on the site.

The iconic hotspot was made famous in 1980 as a setting for the film "Urban Cowboy," starring Debra Winger and John Travolta.
