Whoops! Beto Releases Taxes, Instantly Regrets It.

The Democrats just love to shame Trump for not sharing his tax returns. Never mind the fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi won't release her tax returns either. The main thing the Democrats want you to focus on here is that orange man bad, red hat very bad.

But in a rush to prove they're all better than our Republican President, the Democrats forgot something: they've got skeletons in their closets that they probably don't want us to know about.

Case in point: Texas Democrat Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke, the Irish-American son of an affluent Texas judge, decided to release his tax returns and the results were pretty embarrassing.

It looks an awful lot like Beto O'Rourke and his wife didn't pay enough taxes in 2013 and 2014 and now they're both scrambling to come up with an excuse for skeptical liberal voters.

According to the tax returns in 2013 and 2014 they improperly claimed a deduction for medical expenses.

Beto and his wife, Amy.... wait, her name is Amy? Is she sure she wants to be called by that name while her husband is pandering to Hispanic voters? Shouldn't she be calling herself Amygo or Amelia or something?

Whatever, anyway, Beto and Amy reported a total of $15,718 in medical expense deductions. But according to the law at the time, people under 65 could only take a deduction if their medical expenses exceeded 10% of their adjusted gross income. Beto's expenses didn't exceed that threshold.

Beto underpaid by thousands of dollars.

That means Beto either lied or he just didn't know what he was doing. Probably a little of both.
