Suspect Charged in Taco Truck Shooting

A suspect is being accused of the fatal shooting of a Houston taco truck owner earlier this month.

Police say 21-year-old Jimmie Daniels was already in custody for an unrelated felony when he was charged with capital murder on Thursday.

Daniels is accused of shooting 29-year-old Roberto Garza while trying to rob the taco truck on the Gulf Freeway near Monroe early on the morning of October 13th.

Garza was pronounced dead at the scene.

Daniels has a lengthy criminal record, including priors for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
