We self-censor when it comes to politics

Thanks to the political climate we are in, more people have decided discretion is the better part of valor when it comes to talking about politics.

That's the conclusion drawn from research done by 'More in Common' on a variety of different topics including immigration, race, or gender issues. Political analyst Debbie Georgatos tells KTRH she sees this all the time.

“This happens on both sides of the aisle, not just work, but at the family dinner table, too,” Georgatos said.

And Georgatos thinks it's possible more of you are feeling that way because of what we see from the mainstream media.

“They are practicing the problem. They are an example of the problem,” Georgatos stated.

According to the numbers 68% say it is acceptable to express their opinions about race or Islam, and that number rises to 73% for immigration issues.
